The company’s Mirador360 TM precision development engine leverages the latest advances in human genetics and cutting-edge data science to rapidly advance new precision medicines for patients living with chronic immune-mediated inflammatory and fibrotic diseases. Launched in 2024, Mirador has raised over $400 million from leading life sciences investors and is based in San Diego, CA. Summary Reporting into the Chief Strategy Officer and working in close collaboration with R&D, the Senior Director, Strategy will lead in collaboration with cross functional teams across the enterprise, the development of new indications for pipeline assets utilizing our Mirador360 platform to maximize long-term value for each clinical program, participates in the development of investor materials, strategy and narrative, participates and may lead the development of our board presentations and narrative. Responsibilities Develops competitive analysis to inform commercial planning and pre-launch strategy. Conducts market assets and development costs for full P&L to determine viability of new indication recommendations. Partner with executive leadership on corporate narrative, investor messaging, and strategic decision-making. Prepare and present strategic recommendations to senior leadership and the Board. Develop and own forecast models and commercial scenarios to guide portfolio strategy and investor communications. Contribute to portfolio planning, competitive analysis, and long-range initiatives to support growth and fundraising. Lead development of corporate strategy, aligning R&D and commercial goals to advance Mirador’s immunology pipeline. Participates in the development of investor presentations and narrative aligning our vision with our long range plans, clinical studies, candidate development etc. Experience and Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in a scientific discipline required, advanced degree (MBA, PhD degree) strongly preferred. 12 or more years of professional work experience with a proven track record of success in a top 5 strategy consulting firm or as a strategy leader within a Life Sciences organization; startup experience preferred. Immunologist or 5 or more years working in this therapeutic area, preferred. Experience in business development running market and asset assessments and evaluations. Experience at the bench working in an early stage discovery lab or in clinical development a plus. Basic understanding of human anatomy, biology and life sciences to understand our business. Successful experience in a matrixed organization. Experience and knowledge in building and managing processes and timelines. Proven track record in multi tasking and prioritizing. Experience leading without authority and gaining cross-functional alignment. Skills and Abilities The successful candidate should be comfortable in uncharted territory, solving problems and figuring out solutions in an environment of discovery and innovation. Excellent problem-solving skills, with comfort preparing research and data analysis to support business recommendations. Strong communication skills; able to build relationships and communicate complex scientific ideas to expert and lay audiences, both internally and externally. Professional and confident with an ability to work with all levels of colleagues, including senior leaders. A hands-on, entrepreneurial style with a sense of urgency, a bias toward action, the ability to analyze situations rapidly and make prudent decisions. Sound strategic, clinical, technical, operational and ethical judgment with uncompromising integrity. Strong collaboration, business planning, communication skills. Ability to focus to deliver high performance in a highly matrixed organization. Proficient skills in project management. Will work closely with both internal teams (early research, bioinformatics, regulatory, clinical, quality, business development, project management, operations etc.). Proficient with MS Office tools - particularly PowerPoint and Excel. The expected base pay range for this position is $235,000 - $285,000 plus bonus, equity, and comprehensive benefits. The base pay range reflects the target range for this position, but individual pay will be determined by additional factors such as job-related skills, experience and relevant education or training. This range may be modified in the future.
