Title: Field Application Engineer Location: Hybrid in San Diego, CA
Pay: $125K-$170K annual base salary Position Overview We are
seeking a skilled Field Application Engineer to provide technical
support and expertise in the implementation and integration of our
products in the field. The ideal candidate will have a strong
background in embedded systems and wireless communications to
ensure our solutions meet client requirements effectively. Key
Responsibilities Provide technical support for customers in product
installation and troubleshooting. Conduct and document field
validation tests, set ups, and results to ensure product
performance and compliance. Collaborate with the engineering team
to develop and improve firmware applications. Assist in the testing
and validation of IoT devices and solutions. Plan and execute field
tests of LTE OTDOA, GNSS, Wi-Fi, and NCELL location methods Develop
and maintain test rigs (using nRF9151-DKs and Thingy:91 X devices
controlled by laptops or Raspberry Pis) Utilize programming skills
in C/C++ and Python scripting for automation and problem-solving.
Engage with clients to understand their needs and provide tailored
technical solutions. Document and report on field activities and
customer feedback to enhance product offerings. Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a
related field. Proven experience in field validation and embedded
systems. Strong knowledge of wireless communications protocols and
standards. Experience in developing and testing firmware
applications. Familiarity with cellular IoT solutions and IoT
device testing methodologies. Proficiency in C/C++ and Python
scripting languages. Comfortable working in Linux environments and
understanding RF processing. Experience analyzing geolocation data,
CDFs, or performance metrics - For this position, you must be
currently authorized to work in the United States without the need
