Description American Traveler is seeking a Speech-Language
Pathologist with 2 years of experience and the ability to perform
modified video swallow studies for a 13-week acute care hospital
assignment. Details - Acute care hospital setting in an inpatient
Speech Therapy unit - Primarily treats adults in inpatient acute
care, with additional caseload including premature infants in the
NICU for feeding needs - Caseload of approximately 9–10 patients
per day - Must be proficient in performing modified video swallow
studies - Cerner EMR is used in this position - 8-hour day shifts
starting at 8am, one weekend per month required - 13-week contract
Requirements - Minimum 2 years of SLP experience required - Active
state SLP license required at time of consideration; pending
licenses will not be accepted (license required if applicable) -
Current BLS certification required; pending certifications will not
be accepted - COVID vaccination required - Crisis Protocol
certification required - Proficiency in performing modified video
swallow studies - Driver's license required for consideration - 2
professional references required: one supervisor from within the
last 12 months and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3
years, both must include dates of employment and eligibility for
rehire Additional Information - Treats a mixed population of adult
inpatient acute care patients and premature infants in the NICU
with feeding needs - Burgundy polo shirt and dark pants are the
required dress code - Candidates must not have been directly
employed (full-time, part-time, or PRN) by any CommonSpirit, CHI,
or Dignity Health facility within the past year; candidates placed
PRN through outside staffing firms will be considered - Candidates
residing in AZ must live at least 50 miles from the facility to
qualify for travel rates, as determined by driver's license address
