Compassion and Stewardship. Job Description As a Vascular Access
Nurse Consultant, you will work collaboratively with our customer's
clinical team to resolve venous access issues to facilitate the
treatment objectives of the treating physician. You may work inside
or outside the hospital setting depending on each individual
referral, providing you with a unique career opportunity to observe
different treatment protocols and patient challenges. If you are

from patient to patient with no time to provide quality care, this
would be the perfect opportunity for you. This is a Sporadic Per
Diem position — ideal for nurses who want to pick up occasional
cases on their schedule. As a VTP Vascular Access Nurse Consultant
you will: Place PICCs, midlines and peripheral IVs with ultrasound
and use ECG confirmation. Assist with management of PICCs and
Vascular Access devices. Provide a wide range of vascular access
support services including but not limited to port access, removal
of lines, declotting, etc. Educate facility nursing staff regarding
PICCs, midlines and many other CVAD's Scheduling In this role,
Consultants visit patients in different customer facilities and
therefore must be willing to travel to customer facilities and able
to fulfill scheduling requirements as indicated based on business
needs. Scheduling is case-based , not shift-based, with a minimum
of 5 cases per month. Required Qualifications Registered Nurse with
current license American Heart BLS Certification Experience in
vascular access device management , including care, maintenance,
and troubleshooting Experience placing ultrasound-guided IVs
Minimum of 3 years' experience in acute care Experience with other
vascular access device (VAD) placements using ultrasound Ability to
work independently and fulfill scheduling requirements as indicated
by job classification Valid driver's license, active auto
insurance, and reliable transportation for travel to patient sites
Must possess a smart phone Must LOVE vascular access! Compensation
is based on candidate experience and relevant certifications.
