Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: OR - Operating Room - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 02/02/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel OR Charge Registered Nurse – Night Shift Location: Sharp Memorial Hospital – San Diego, CA Start Date: ASAP (1/26) – Rapid compliance required Job Type: Travel / Contract Shift & Schedule - Shift: Night Shift - Hours: 3 × 12-hour shifts - Time: 6:00 PM – 6:30 AM - On Call: Variable - 1 on-call shift within a 2-week pay period - Approx. 2 on-call shifts per month Job Summary The OR Charge RN is responsible for overseeing operating room operations during the night shift. This role focuses on coordinating surgical cases, managing staffing and call coverage, and supporting anesthesia and surgical teams to ensure smooth workflow and patient safety. The Charge RN will not be assigned to scrub or circulate cases. Key Responsibilities - Coordinate and assign surgical cases - Manage OR flow and case scheduling - Support anesthesia and surgical teams - Handle staffing issues, including sick call-outs - Accept and manage escalation calls; notify administration as needed - Ensure coverage for emergency and trauma cases - Assist with booking cases (EPIC EMR experience highly preferred) Clinical Environment - Trauma Level II facility - Staffed 24/7 to support emergency cases from the ED - Exposure to all types of surgical cases Required Qualifications - Minimum 3 years OR RN circulating experience - Charge RN experience, including running the board - Travel experience required - Active California RN License - BLS certification - Level II or Level I Trauma experience Interviews - Microsoft Teams interviews scheduled by the hiring manager Additional Requirements - EPIC EMR experience (strongly preferred) - OR questionnaire must be included with submission About Talent4Health A leader and innovator, offering comprehensive talent solutions for the healthcare industry across the nation.
