The Crox Group is seeking a local contract nurse RN Wound Care for a local contract nursing job in Apple Valley, California. Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Wound Care Discipline: RN Duration: 12 weeks 40 hours per week Shift: 10 hours, days Employment Type: Local Contract Job Description Summary: Providence Health and Services – MSP is seeking an experienced Wound Care RN for a 13-week travel assignment at a 212-bed acute care facility in Apple Valley, CA. You will deliver comprehensive wound assessment and management services, collaborating closely with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes. Responsibilities: Perform thorough wound assessments and develop individualized care plans Cleanse, debride, and dress wounds using evidence-based wound care products and techniques Educate patients and families on wound prevention, self-care, and nutrition strategies Administer and document treatments in Epic per facility protocols Monitor and document wound healing progress, escalate concerns to the Wound Care team or physician Float to other patient care units on the floor as needed to support staffing Adhere to all safety, infection-control, and documentation standards Key Requirements: Must start 05/19/2025 and commit to the full 13-week assignment Willingness to work at least every other weekend and at least 3 of these holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year’s RTO requests must be submitted at time of application; post-offer changes not permitted Local candidates within 50 mile radius accepted (may qualify for a reduced bill rate) Must provide ? 2 supervisory references covering ? 1 year of relevant RN experience within the last 3 years Facility may cancel one shift per two-week pay period (guaranteed hours conditional) Qualifications Education: Graduate of an accredited Associate’s or Bachelor’s Nursing program Experience: Minimum 2 years of acute-care Wound Care RN experience At least 5 years of overall hospital nursing experience License: Active California RN license in hand at submission (no pending/temporary) BCLS (Basic Cardiac Life Support) certification Skills: Wound Care Certification (WCC) and Wound Ostomy Continence Certification (WOCN) - required Proficiency in Epic EMR documentation Strong patient education, critical thinking, and interdisciplinary collaboration skills Ability to perform floating assignments to like units as needed About The Crox Group A firm commitment towards bringing an impactful change in business domains enables us to explore and innovate continuously.
