• Work/life balance!Job DetailsJob Details:We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Accountant to join our vibrant finance team. This is a permanent position that offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced and exciting environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and managing a variety of accounting functions including bank reconciliations, preparing financial statements, and handling month-end close processes. They will also be tasked with managing general ledger accounting, residential property accounting, and HUD compliance. This position requires a high level of proficiency in Yardi, Yardi Voyager, and Yardi Software. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of three years of experience in a similar role.Responsibilities:1. Oversee and manage daily accounting operations including bank reconciliation, journal entries, and general ledger accounting.2. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.3. Conduct month-end and year-end close processes ensuring timeliness and accuracy.4. Manage property accounting, including residential property accounting, ensuring compliance with HUD regulations.5. Utilize Yardi, Yardi Voyager, and Yardi Software to manage and streamline accounting processes.6. Collaborate with other finance team members to drive financial clarity and operational improvements.7. Participate in the formulation of internal controls and policies to comply with legislation and established best practices.8. Assist in the preparation of budgets or forecasts.9. Participate in preparation for the annual audit.10. Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.Qualifications:1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.2. Minimum of three years of experience in a senior accounting role.3. Proficient in Yardi, Yardi Voyager, and Yardi Software.4. Solid knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and regulations.5. Excellent knowledge of accounting and financial processes (budgeting, financial closure, reporting, etc.)6. Understanding of data analysis and forecasting.7. Working knowledge of MS Office (especially excel) and accounting software.8. Well-organized with ability to prioritize tasks.9. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.10. Attention to detail and problem-solving ability.11. CPA or other relevant qualification is a plus.
